## **About GWDC · Hackathon**

The GWDC 2026 KOREA Hackathon, a core event of the conference and built on the hacker ethos of "For Builders, By Builders," has officially opened project registration to builders worldwide.

This hackathon will focus on up to five ecosystem blockchains, with a total prize pool exceeding $100,000 USD. To date, the event has received support from TRON and is partnering with Microsoft, a global leading cloud provider, to deliver powerful computing and cloud resources that fully empower teams with development, testing, and deployment capabilities. Project registration remains open, and teams at all stages are warmly invited to participate.

In addition, this hackathon will feature a 48-hour in-person finals in Seoul. All teams are welcome to travel to Seoul to compete on-site, engage in deep exchanges and collaboration with developers, top investors, and industry leaders under intense development and optimization, and witness the announcement of award winners live—unlocking further ecosystem partnerships and brand exposure opportunities.

## **I. Overview of GWDC 2026 KOREA·Hackathon**

## **II. Hackathon Schedule: 48-Hour Ultimate Challenge**

This hackathon consists of two phases: online registration and on-site development with the finals. All times below are in Korean Standard Time (KST); please ensure your team is aware of the key deadlines:

1.  **Online Team Registration****August 25 – September 25**  
    Team self-formation and registration
2.  **Offline on-site stage: September 28, 17:00–20:00**  
    Hackathon kickoff  
    The public chain ecosystem and technology lead presents project overviews, technical insights, and ecosystem task discussions.  
    Claim the developer bonus pack
3.  September 28, 20:00 – September 30, 11:00 | On-site Coding  
    Teams develop projects, optimize technologies, and enhance products around ecological challenges.
4.  Before September 30 at 12:00  
    Project submission
5.  **September 30, 15:00–17:00**  
    Innovation Stage Project Showcase & Award Ceremony

**Review and Project Presentation**

This hackathon will invite CXOs, technology and ecosystem leads from ecosystem blockchains, as well as leading industry VCs to serve as judges and evaluate participating projects on-site. Outstanding teams will earn the opportunity to present on the Innovation Stage and engage in in-depth discussions with industry investment institutions and ecosystem partners, expanding prospects for future investment and ecosystem collaboration.

## **Three, Participant Benefits and Ecosystem Support**

· $50,000 USD cash prize + $50,000 USD ecosystem support  
Winning projects can receive up to $50,000 USD in cash rewards and up to $50,000 USD in ecosystem support.

· Microsoft Azure Credits support  
Eligible projects can receive up to six months of free cloud service credits from Microsoft to provide cloud resources for project development, testing, and deployment.

· Web3Labs Global Acceleration Opportunities  
Winning projects will be prioritized for admission into the Web3Labs 2026 Global Accelerator Program and the incubation project reserve, gaining future opportunities for project development and ecosystem support.

Industry resources and investment matchmaking  
Engage with industry veterans, leading companies, and top-tier VCs to expand investment opportunities, ecosystem partnerships, and industry resources.

· Global media and market exposure  
Winning projects will receive ongoing media coverage and marketing support to enhance visibility and industry influence through global media and community channels.

## **Four, GWDC 2026 KOREA Hackathon Participation Requirements**

· GitHub open-source code repository: Submitted projects must include a publicly accessible GitHub code repository.  
· Demo video: Submit a project demo video no longer than 3 minutes.  
· Pitch Deck: Submit a complete project description and pitch deck.  
· Live demonstration: Finalist teams must present their projects live on the Innovation Stage.  
· Team size: Each participating team may have up to 5 members.

Teams may choose to participate online or attend the in-person event in Seoul. Final project submissions must include all of the above materials and be submitted according to the competition timeline.
